Project developed with Maquina-Herramienta class Design Team
The goal was to create a decorative lamp that would allow the user to modify and play with the luminance and luminous flux, thus creating different environments with the same object. Likewise, the product should be a central object of the user's decoration.
A design exercise where group coordination was fundamental, since 15 people made up the design team. Different tasks were assigned with the common goal of achieving a successful design that met the initial expectations.
Thanks to a modular geometry, the objective is achieved and different technical innovations.
It began with a search for a niche market that was attractive, to study it and get interesting features about ir that could feed the project
"A small market whose needs are not being well served"
They have the possibility, economic and cultural to be pleasant. They use their free time for their hobbies, and what keep away from possible stress or eagerness.
They build a daily critical knowledge by direct experience and exploratory routine. They look for excellence in products that consume. They give a lot of importance to design, to aesthetics, and to the authenticity of the brand.

After defining the basic scheme of operation, each of the members of the team made a formal proposal for the luminaire. These were evaluated under the criteria of:

The first aesthetic tests were made with non-functional prototypes and evolved to the definitive ones.
Sequence of use
The tests were aimed at determining the suitability of some features in the final proposal, such as materials, uses and modes of operations
Light tests are carried out through the use of 5 types of light bulbs: PAR-38 bulb, PAR-20 bulb, T2 spiral, Mini Lynx and Leds. In addition, materials with different physical characteristics are used, looking for the way that the incidence of light on them can be altered, adding an intensity regulation variable

Tests are carried out with polyester resin and plastisol for the creation of a composite material, which will be one of the main characteristics of the luminaire.
-The resin for its non-uniform composition is not ideal for the luminaire
-The materials thought as diffusers do not act as expected. There is no noticeable change
-The copper wire works as a structural material together with plastisol
-The obstacles with volume and cavities work better as refractors and reflectors
